Added raised dot work along the center vein is accented in 22k gold lustre. Available in the following glaze colors: emerald green, mid green or pale green. This leaf dish is inspired by the 11th century mystic, Saint Hildegard of Bingen — a vibrant and creative woman who greatly pursued all practical and spiritual wisdom held within the natural world:

There is a power that has been since all eternity and that force and potentiality is green! — Hildegard of Bingen

Each dish is approximately 4 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches. The bottom of the piece is signed by the artist. An information card about Hildegard is included. Packaged in a 4 x 4 inch felt gift pouch.

Made of high quality white porcelain clay. Each piece is handmade — stamped, cut, shaped, hand glazed in a beautiful finish and accented with 22k gold.

Included information card reads:

Front — Leaf Dish inspired by St. Hildegard of Bingen — Among Hildegard’s contributions to the world was her idea of “viriditas” or greening power. Hildegard strongly encouraged others to tend their souls so as to always be filled with life and vitality — greenness through and with the Spirit. Hildegard was moved by the vibrant greening of the earth in the Rhine valley of Germany where she lived. Let this dish remind you always to cultivate the garden within.

Back — When a forest does not green vigorously, then it is no longer a forest. When a tree does not blossom it cannot bear fruit. Likewise, a person cannot be fruitful without the viriditas (greening power) of faith. The soul that is full of wisdom is saturated with the spray of a bubbling fountain, God himself. — St. Hildegard of Bingen
